But I tell you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
We love because He first loved us.
1 John 4:19
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.
It is no secret that the social-political climate in our country is well…less than desirable. There’s no need for me to re-hash the mess, but I think an important conversation is how do we continue to move forward. I believe God would want us to do it in love.
As women made for today, for this time and this place, with all this mess that we see around us, it is our responsibility…our charge from our King…to love this world and the people in it.
That’s a tall order for sure. How exactly do we muster any love at all for those we see as enemies? How are we supposed to show love to those we see as undeserving, unworthy, inexcusable?
We are able to love, because we know what real love is. We love, because Jesus loved us when we were undeserving, unworthy, inexcusable. When we look around and wonder, how do I love in this world today, take a look at Jesus for He is love.
